Central contact point for IT related questions and problems. Moreover, information about the operating status of central IT systems of Kiel University can be obtained here. Initial support in case of user problems or questions regarding IT equipment and applications is also provided.


Work space support

Support in using the central IT infrastructure and the given central software components (Antivirus, VPN and campus WLAN) at the work stations at Kiel University.

Remote support

Support of end users (in case of any problems or usage issues) via remote desktop control, which gives Computing Centre operators access to the relevant session.

Application support

Receiving and forwarding of requests and fault messages regarding specific, dedicated applications.
Background: There are a few specific applications (e.g. in the web area), which are maintained and in some cases also managed by the Computing Centre staff.

Service hours

Fault messages are accepted around the clock via the hotline form. The service office and the hotline can be reached from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
