Sophos Antivirus is an anti-virus software package.

Kiel University has purchased a campus-wide license of  Sophos Anti-Virus (Sophos Endpoint Security). This license covers all servers and end-user desktop computers at Kiel University. Hence, students, faculty and staff are permitted to protect their computers using our site license, without any further cost to themselves.

Obtaining as a student

You can only access the installation software below
  • anonymously from within the campus network,
  • through a VPN connection into the campus network, or
  • by providing your stu-account and password,
but not anonymously from the internet at large.
This ensures that we meet the terms of the site license.

We provide verbose installation instructions for Windows, MacOS X and Linux; software for some other operating systems can be found here.
