Collaboration services within the IT framework are services for communication and collaboration of working groups.

The computing centre offers following services:

DFN scheduler

The web service 'Doodle' is often used for coordination and scheduling. We would like to point out an alternative which more privacy friendly, the Scheduler of the DFN association (Internet provider of the german state universities). Members, including those at Kiel University, can use it free of charge and without registration.

The data storage of the scheduler is carried out on the computers of the DFN association and is subject to german law. Further information on data protection of the scheduler. (in german)

Gitlab version management and collaboration platform

The computing centre provides a separate instance of the software 'gitlab'. The functions include the provision of version management on the basis of git, an administration interface for the decentralized assignment of rights, a web interface for collaboration on (software) projects, including administration of several development branches, issue management and an integrated Wiki.
