The technology behind it complies with the latest standards and encrypts both files and file names with AES and 256-bit key length. This means that if a stranger looks into the folder in your cloud, they cannot draw any conclusions about your data.

To get started with Cryptomator, assign a password to a folder called a vault within your cloud.

To access the vault, enter the password again. You will be provided with a virtual encrypted drive to which you can move your data—just like a USB stick.

Every time you save something to this drive, Cryptomator automatically encrypts the data.
