Connect network drive under Mac OS X

To establish a connection to a network drive, the corresponding menu item must first be selected.

To do this, open the Finder, and under Go select Connect to Server.

Then, in the window that opens, enter the address of the network drive.

Replace #Kennung with your username, #ServerName with the matching server name (e.g. uni-kiel.de) and #ShareName with the name of the matching share (for example network drive uni-kiel.de/files/home/suabc123, this is files/home/suabc123).

A password prompt should now appear.

In the dialog, select the Registered User option.

Enter the password associated with the username here. If you want to use the connection more often, you can have the password saved in the keychain. Then you do not have to enter it every time.
