Connect network drive under Linux
A network drive can be accessed in two different ways under Linux.
- ... with Nautilus
Nautilus is the default file manager of Gnome. Network drives can also be accessed under Nautilus, but they are not mounted in the local file system. For a user without special requirements, this option may already be sufficient.
- ... through temporary/permanent mounting
A network drive can be temporarily or permanently mounted in the file system via the console. In this way, the network drive has its own file path after mounting.
