The CAU-Cloud uses the software Nextcloud. You can download the most recent version of the desktop sync client on the maintainers homepage.

The installation on Linux is dependant on the used distribution. The recommended method is to install the application from a repository, as it will be provided with updates. In some Linux distriutions, the nextcloud desktop client is part of the distributions repositories.

As the computing center is not able to provide install instructions for all Linux distributions, we constrain the instructions on installation on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS as well as CentOS 7. For additional instructions, please have a loog at the the maintainers homepage.
