Forwarding your email

Setup a email forwarding

You can setup forwarding of your student email in the "Roundcube" webmailer under "Settings" => "Forwarding"

Setup email forwarding

Forward a copy

You can have a copy of incoming email forwarded. In this case, the original message remains in your stu mailbox and only a copy is sent to the destination address. We suggest forwarding a copy.

Even after activating email forwarding, we suggest checking your stu mailbox regularly. Forwards to external mail providers are often delayed by hours and sometimes days. In some cases, forwarded messages are also rejected by external providers.

Forward without copy (redirect)

It is also possible to redirect email straight to another address.

When redirecting mail no copy remains on the university's systems. If the forwarding fails, the respective messages cannot be recovered by us.

forward no copy

Do not forget to set the status to "On".

Deactivating the forward

To disable forwarding, simply set "status" to "Off" and save the changes. If you disable forwarding, messages are only delivered to your stu mailbox.
