WLAN is an abbreviation for wireless local area network. With Kiel University WLAN, access to the campus network and internet is possible via wireless network. Most of the lecture halls, seminar rooms and the libraries provide WLAN access via valid user ID (stu123456@uni-kiel.de or suxxx123@uni-kiel.de). On Kiel University campus there is no comprehensive network.

There two wireless networks are available on main campus:

  • eduroam is available for guests and members of Kiel University. Members of Kiel University are able to access Intranet services through this network.
  • setup eduroam for wifi configuration, access to cat.eduroam.org, the google playstore and to the university websites.

Hints for usage can be found in the relevant instructions
