Institutions of Kiel University can apply for their own mail domain at the computing centre in order to provide the mail addresses of their employees with an institute-specific name in the domain suffix, e.g. tierzucht.uni-kiel.de, rz.uni-kiel.de etc.
Range of services
Setup and support of mail domains under the email domain uni-kiel.de, registration in the central DNS server of the university.
Setup and support of mail domains whose DNS entries are not administered by the computing centre, but whose mailboxes are located on a mail server of the university.
Registration
This requires an informal written application from the institution. The application must specify who within the institution is responsible for the allocation of email addresses.
