Update the installed Windows10, e.g. by installing the latest available updates/patches offline once, to ensure a safe operation of the installed Win10. This is done with WSUS-Offline Update (instructions see: https://www.rz.uni-kiel.de/en/our-portfolio/software/wsus-offline-update/). The WSUS offline update DVD image file ('*.iso') is updated every night; please use the latest file.

8. Integration of the computer into the CAU-AD (directory service Active Directory of Kiel University)
The integration of a computer into the CAU-AD enables the use of resources in/via the directory service: shared folders in network drives, campus copiers, installation/updating of software, prerequisite for client management use (software: 'Matrix42'), own file area, no additional costs. In addition, further administrative tools are available, e.g. so-called group policies, which make resource-saving administration/supervision of several computers in institutions possible in the first place.
