About us
The University Computing Centre (Rechenzentrum) is a service department at Kiel University. We run the university's data networks, including external connectivity, and provide computing and storage resources of various sizes, as well as centralized applications for research, teaching and administration. We also house decentralized systems in cooperation with faculties and departments of the university. We evaluate new technologies and processes in IT, refine existing processes, and act in an advisory capacity to other parts of the university in these matters.
